When we learned that my brother Chris and his
inamorata Katrina -- both doctors working with Native American
communities in New Mexico -- were getting married, our first reaction
was to cheer. Our second reaction was, of course, to ask "What
on earth can we give them as a wedding present?"
Something timeless. Something
personal. Something they would never expect. Something they will
require professional assistance to move for the rest of their lives.
