A project of this magnitude could not be
accomplished without the assistance and encouragement of many others.
I would like to gratefully acknowledge:
- My wife, Carol, and my daughter, Susannah, for their many
creative contributions, and for the enormous amount of time they
gave me to work on the project, particularly in the last three
months.
- My father, for the use of his garage, and for base painting
the cabinet. Much appreciated, and it looks great!
- Mike Harris for a number of helpful suggestions, especially
the Anniversary Bonus.
- Bill Lindley, who sold me Alpine Club, a good machine at a
fair price. Hope you like what I did with it.
- David Gersic, who generously donated a chime unit to
the project. Not only that, he sent it to me, trusting that I would
reimburse him for the cost of shipping (I did).
- Steve Young and The Pinball Resource. Dedicated to supporting
pinball and pinball enthusiasts.
- Thomas DiStefano of Business Partner in Edison, NJ. He was
enthusiastic and helpful in getting the playfield overlay printed.
- The maintainers of the International Pinball Database. A
fabulous resource.
- The very useful page on religious symbols at
http://altreligion.about.com/library/glossary/symbols/blsymbols.htm
- The folks at www.1001freefonts.com
- The developers and maintainers of The Gimp. Wow. How did we live before?
Would I do it again, knowing what I know now?
I'm not so sure. It was a lot of fun, but I'm glad it's over!
